Mr. Kirby manages the medical dosimetry department overseeing all aspects of radiation therapy treatment planning. Kevin’s responsibilities include organizing treatment simulation data, collaborating with clinic staff to determine the best radiation treatment modality for patients, ensuring our staff dosimetrists are trained with the most up to date advanced radiation treatment planning techniques and verifying that all patient radiation treatment plans are completed in accordance with our radiation oncologists’ directive. Kevin has worked in various roles within the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute; he started his career in proton therapy as a radiation therapist here, then moved into the treatment planning department as a staff dosimetrist before assuming his current role as Director of Clinical Dosimetry. Kevin has over 15 years’ experience working in the radiological sciences field.
