Two New Nurse Practitioners Join the Florida Proton Team and Support Survivorship Program
Cancer Survivorship
The UF Health Proton Therapy Institute provides cancer survivorship support to patients after completing their treatment. This support includes clinical care, education, surveillance, and coordination of follow-up care with other specialists. The goal is to improve patients’ health and quality of life in the long term.
The institute has a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses who monitor each patient for post-treatment side effects and provide personalized follow-up care. The frequency of follow-up visits depends on the individual patient’s needs and challenges.
Nurse Practitioners
The UF Health Proton Therapy Institute is pleased to welcome two new nurse practitioners to the team who provide care to our patients during their survivorship period: Toni Ruffino and Kerri Jarrell.
