Christina,
I am a member of a breakfast club known as the Crispy Warriors. We meet every Thursday morning at Crackings Restaurant in Destin, Fla. The Crispy Warriors was founded in 1995 by four World War II veterans. We are a bunch of veterans from the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Gulf Wars with a few civilians mixed in for good measure. We share old stories and try to solve the world's problems. Upon my return from the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute, I made a presentation to the group which was very well received. Most of our members had never heard of the Institute and had no idea of the number of treatments offered there for cancer patients. I concluded my presentation with the following comment, "Heaven forbid you or a loved one should ever get cancer, but if you do and it requires radiation treatment, I highly recommend you consider the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute for treatment. You'll get none better.”
